.Throughout our art class we created multiple different "mini projects" to teach us different techniques. We started by working on faces and facial features, from left to right there is Bruno Mars, a pair of lips, Cara Delvienge, and Andy Warhol
Above is my self portrait, the first image was the photograph that inspired, the second was a pencil, the following two were Sharpies, and the last was drawn with a calligraphy pen which is my personal favorite. I preferred the ink over pencil because it always came out cleaner in my opinion.
After drawing faces and portraits, we began working on something a little more abstract. We made our own collages and then wrote poems to accompany them. Above is my abstract blue collage with a poem, and then my representational collage with a poem.
My personal favorite art technique was water coloring. We visited a gallery and made our own pieces after seeking inspiration.
Our semester's big project which is still in progress is our personal "wall", I am still working on my story, but I have a drawing mapped out:
Part of our semester was making digital sculptures and murals. I put a collage on a wall near my house, and a Walt Disney statue on the beach because I like the beach.
The other part of our semester was learning how to paper machete, I made the heart in the middle and a 2D painting behind it, the meaning of my personal project was love.
We also did a fine art mashup, I pulled from impressionist artists and the famous photography in New York.
